'Liberty & Slavery' won two Emmy awards at the 2018 National Capital Cheasapeake Bay Chapter Emmy Awards. Director A. Troy Thomas received an award in the Historical Documentary category and Director of Photography Christopher Marshall received an award in the Photography - Program (Non-News) category. Both were at the ceremony to receive the awards.
